BIOGRAPHY
Since 1988, Mr. Hargrove has
served as founder and President
of Hargrove Entertainment Inc., an entertainment company focused on
the
production, co-production and worldwide distribution of independent
feature
films and television properties. In this time period Mr.
Hargrove has
marketed over 40,000 hours of product, all of which have generated a
profit for
Hargrove Entertainment.

In addition, Mr. Hargrove has marketed numerous television programs from around the world including titles from the acclaimed PBS series: American Playhouse, Great Performances, Theatre In America, American Masters, American Experience and the American Short Story Series.
In the early 1980's Mr. Hargrove forewent a promising career with the investment banking firm J.P. Morgan to become involved with Group W Satellite Communications in the launch of the basic cable services Satellite News Channel and The Nashville Network. Mr. Hargrove ankled GWSC to become involved in film production where he worked on films by acclaimed filmmakers John Sayles, Jonathan Demme and Woody Allen, to name a few; while at the same time producing and directing over three dozen music videos. After Mr. Hargrove opened the firm of Hargrove Entertainment he joined forces with Carmella Caridi, a co-founder of HBO and MTV, to expand her company Caridi Entertainment, where he was responsible for increasing the company's programming library over 600% while acting as Vice President of Sales & Acquisitions. Other industry experience includes stints with Troma, Independent Feature Project, American Film & Video Festival, the Collective For Living Cinema, and acting as U.S. rep for the Sao Paulo (Brasil) International Film Festival. Mr. Hargrove is the founder and Managing Editor of IBR News. He has also served as Industry Review Editor for the Film Festival Reporter and has been a contributor to the North American Film Review.
